I made 565 miles today and ended up in Des Moines Iowa. About 280 miles left to home, A nice easy five or six hour drive home. I was tempted to push hard and make it home tonight but decided to enjoy the last night on the road and stopped a little early. I was headed to a Ramada but when I exited the freeway I noticed the parking lot was jammed. Could be do to the restaurant that is part of the hotel but didn't want to waste time and find out they had no room at the inn. So I headed across the street to the sparsely populated parking lot of the Days Inn. One more day on to road that home sweet home.
