I've been a little late to post this (things have been busy!), but as you know Russ worked for different newspapers all around the country. People all over stepped up and on June 19th, Russ' obituary was published in the Los Angeles Times, Orlando Sentinel, Daily Press, San Francisco Chronicle, Chicago Tribune, San Antonio Express-News, San Diego Union-Tribune, and the Wisconsin State Journal. 8 different newspapers!

Thinking about you recently RUSS with all the crazy the world unfolding in such unbelievable volume. I would have loved to hear your take on things and to see your response.. no doubt it would b e audicious to the insanity of the current administration. You did not suffer fools well and TRUMP defines the concept.

I had the pleasure to meet Russ during his San Diego days, the last time I saw him in person was for a lunch of carnitas tacos and Ballast Point Beer - Sculpin. I toasted this one to him on Wednesday. "Here's to a life well lived!" RIP Russ.
