My son, Matthew Newton

My son is an interesting cat. He was identified as gifted academically when he was six years old. He proved that out through his sixth grade year in Ohio, bringing home straight A's. Then we moved to Glendale, CA. He showed his objection to the move by flunking the second half of 6th grade. Then I guess he didn't feel we got the point, he flunked 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th grade before buckling down and getting out of High School with a 1.9 GPA. Somehow (he can explain this part better than I) He managed to get into Cal State Northridge and do a four year degree in three years with a straight A average. Because of his academic excellence, he was offered half a dozen scholarships for graduate school. He ended up going to Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. There he mastered in Statistics and minored in Psychology. He left after twos years with an undefended theses. (He can explain that as well, I never understood it) Then started work at Newegg.com for about eight months and then started at Amazon and moved to Seattle. Today he is a manager in the AWS division of Amazon and doing well living in Nashville Tenn with his long time girl friend Julie. (Pictured below)
